The Purple Lion was designed to be built on a shoestring budget. The plan was an "L" with a knuckle made of 2 offset curved walls. This caused the spaces around the knuckle to spin off of the center like a pinwheel. The materials were simple steel studs with MDF skin and the trellis structure brought the 18 foot ceilings down to a cozy level.
