This residence is the first in the line of conceptual representations of the exterior of a house designed for an extremely creative and energetic couple. The preliminary design has several "shells" that grow out from one another, the last of which provides a translucent glass enclosure for the stair that leads from the basement to the roof deck. The entry is surrounded by a garden, the main living and entertaining spaces open onto a courtyard that houses the master suite like a pavilion.
